Rehearsals
SCYC rehearsals are held on Monday evenings, September through June.
Membership in SCYC is open to all interested singers who can commit to the terms of membership and the effort required to keep pace with the musical progress of the ensemble. Exact placement of choristers in bridge grades (3rd grade, middle school) may be determined in conversation with the director. Families of students at these bridge levels are encouraged to contact Artistic Director Karin Larsen at snocoyouthchorus@gmail.com to discuss the best placement for their student.
Rehearsal Schedule by Age Group
Primo
Kindergarten - Lower Elementary
5:30 - 6:15pm (Mondays)
For new singers just learning to follow a leader, Primo focuses on loving music together and building foundational concepts.
Cantare
Upper Elementary - Middle School
6:30 - 7:30pm (Mondays)
Cantare builds on the basics of music theory & vocal production; this training choir develops strong unison & beginning parts singing.
Bella Coro
Middle - High School
7:30 - 8:30 PM (Mondays)
Focusing on more advanced music theory & parts singing, Bella Coro is primarily for singers already comfortable reading music & singing in parts.
