Who We Are
The Snohomish County Youth Chorus Program serves children in grades K–12. We are dedicated to the artistic development of all students.
The Snohomish County Children's Choir was founded in 1999 by local music teacher Shelly Logan to provide a challenging setting for outstanding young singers to further their choral education. Upon Mrs. Logan's retirement in 2014, SCCC became a branch of the Everett Chorale Association, and in 2016 became the Snohomish County Youth Chorus. Today, SCYC is a not-for-profit, non-auditioned community youth chorus dedicated to the artistic and personal development of all children and youth who love to sing. Our goal is to offer affordable, high-quality vocal instruction to young people residing in Snohomish County and beyond.
SCYC is divided into three ensembles for unchanged voices:
Primo
Kindergarten -
Lower Elementary
For new singers just learning to follow a leader & sing together.
Cantare
Upper Elementary - Middle School
Focuses on the basics of music theory & vocal production.
Bella Coro
Middle - High School
Focuses on more advanced music theory & parts singing.
SCYC choirs love to perform for events and organizations in our community. Performance highlights from past seasons include: Everett Wintertide, Argosy Christmas Ships, Washington Oakes Senior Living, The Lights of Christmas at Warm Beach, Carl Gipson Center’s Spring Tea, and others. If you would like to request the choir to sing for your organization or event, please contact us.
SCYC is a proud member of the Greater Seattle Choral Consortium.

Snohomish County Youth Chorus is dedicated to the artistic and personal development and expression of all students, regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, creed, sexual identity, or socioeconomic status. We strive to instill a lifelong appreciation of music through excellent instruction, inspiring performance, and service to our community and the world.
